Back in November, the Swadlincote Asperger’s Society had the pleasure of bringing the Safe Place scheme to Swadlincote town centre.
The scheme, supported by the leading national charity MacIntyre, aims to keep vulnerable adults safe if they feel scared, threatened or are in trouble while out and about.
Part of the scheme involves carrying a “Keep Safe” card. It’s free to apply for, with no questions about your disability or illness (if you would even call it that).
